MEET BEV

MASW Counselling - BA.SW (Hons)

​

Beverley Berelowitz has been a Social Worker for over 30 years, working in both the private and public sector. She was born in South Africa, and came to live in Sydney in 2002 (after spending 6 years in New Zealand).

​

Bev’s career has involved working in the Spinal Unit at Prince of Wales Hospital, in a Residential Aged Care Facility in Randwick, and as a counsellor. 

​

For the past 11 years Bev has worked in private practice providing confidential and supportive counselling services to people who are experiencing various challenging life situations. 

​

Bev’s areas of expertise include (but are not limited to):

  • How to cope with physical pain (understanding how it can impact many areas of life)

  • Anger, frustrations & Impulsive Action (how to manage these feelings and behaviour)

  • Grief and Loss

  • Depression and Anxiety (understanding and managing panic attacks)

  • Navigating Challenging Relationships (including insecurities or avoidance) 

  • Supporting the adjustment to various life stages 

  • Injury related trauma and/or illness rehabilitation counselling (including PTSD) 

  • Pre and Post Natal Support

  • Telehealth Counselling Support

  • Overall Wellbeing Counselling/Coaching 

 

Bev provides a professional, gentle and personal service, while supporting and empowering people to enhance their life. She looks forward to being of service to you and helping you navigate your challenges. 

Bev is a member of the AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers) which enables you to receive a Medicare rebate with a Mental Health Care Plan referral from your GP.
